Federica Valsecchi, PhD, MBA, is the Senior Strategic Initiatives Manager in MSK’s Office of Entrepreneurship and Commercialization (OEC). She joined MSK in 2019 as an Immunotherapy Project Manager within the Office’s Licensing team and has since advanced into strategic leadership roles supporting the commercialization and partnership development of innovative oncology and immunotherapy platforms.
In addition to her role at MSK, Federica (Fede) is the founder of the Nadia Valsecchi Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing pancreatic cancer research and patient care on an international scale, and the Italian Pancreatic Cancer Community (I-PCC), a collaborative network of 27 laboratories across Italy focused on pancreatic cancer research.
Fede earned her PhD in Biochemistry and Cell Biology from Radboud University Nijmegen in the Netherlands and completed her postdoctoral fellowship at Weill Cornell Medicine, where she investigated the biological consequences of mitochondrial dysfunction in mitochondrial diseases and Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS). She also holds a Master’s degree in General Pathology from the Università degli Studi di Pavia in Italy. Most recently, Fede completed an Executive MBA in Healthcare Administration, further strengthening her expertise at the intersection of science, strategy, and healthcare management.
